To ensure there is maximum interest in the promotion it will be supported with an advertising campaign on major UK Asian TV and radio stations, worth over £150k.

Enlightening Factoids about Diwali
The festival marks the victory of good over evil, and uplifting of spiritual darkness. Symbolically it marks the homecoming of goodwill and faith after an absence, as suggested by the story of Ramayana, an ancient Sanskrit epic attributed to the Hindu sage Maharishi Valmiki and an important part of the Hindu canon.

On the day of Diwali, many Hindus wear new clothes and share sweets and snacks. Some North Indian business communities start their financial year on Diwali and new account books are opened on this day.

Important Information on Eid
Eid ul-Fitr or Id-Ul-Fitr, often abbreviated to Eid, is a Muslim holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting. Eid is an Arabic word meaning “festivity”, while Fi?r means “to break the fast” (and can also mean “nature”, from the word “fitrah”) and so symbolizes the breaking of the fasting period.
Eid ul-Fitr starts the day after Ramadan ends, and lasts three days. It is verified by the sighting of the new moon. Muslims give money to the poor and wear their best clothes.
