The focus has been on delivering improved levels of customer service to existing customers and securing business in new sectors outside of FMCG. The value of the national account contracts that have been renewed in the last eight weeks alone is in excess of $50 million. CHEP has also converted a number of high volume customers to the CHEP service and cites its quality of service as the main reason.
“We are very proud of the long term relationships that we have established with our customers over the years, which have resulted in a significant number of contract renewals during the last couple of months,” said Daniel Walsh, Commercial Director, CHEP UK & Ireland.
“We are very aware that we must not be complacent and we are continually striving to improve the quality of service that we provide. Not only are we renewing contracts with existing customers but we are also winning new customers, due to the guaranteed availability of quality pallets and the level of customer service that CHEP can provide.”
