Anchor targets cash and carries in summer activity

Anchor-POS-FVAnchor Butter, the UK’s third largest BSM brand, is supporting its successful advertising campaign, “Made by Cows since 1886”, by displaying specifically created point of sale material in selected cash and carry outlets.

Aimed at encouraging independent retailers to stock up on the brand as well as increase brand presence in selected cash and carries; the point of sale, which landed at the end of July, is made up of pallet wraps, shelf stripping, giant wobblers and posters.

Since the launch of the new advert, which shows cows making Anchor butter in a dairy, the tongue-in-cheek creative has already proved to be an extremely successful advertising campaign for Anchor.

Kate Richards, Anchor Brand Manager, explains the reasons behind the dedicated wholesale activity: “Although it’s still early days and the campaign has only been running for six weeks, it has already been a huge success for us; our penetration has increased by 0.7% in the latest data, which equates to approximately 200,000 more people buying into the brand. Our point of sale activity in selected cash and carries is aimed at encouraging independent retailers to stock up on the brand to take advantage of this increase in demand.”
