Aryzta Food Solutions has introduced two new Middle Eastern inspired Spinach Pide products, perfect for eating on the go, and designed to tap into demand for exotic flavours.
The two new products from Aryzta – a Spinach Pide with Gyros Chicken, and a Spinach Pide with Mozzarella, Basil & Tomato – are available now at an RRP of £2.75, and are supplied frozen in case sizes of 18.
A pide (pronounced pea-deh) is a Turkish stone-baked pizza style flat bread, characterised by a unique boat shape and open filling. Inspired by the street food markets of Istanbul, the new pides have been developed to cater to growing consumer demand for cuisine inspired by flavours from around the world, whilst adding a taste of something different to food-to-go menus.
The trend for street food – which has enjoyed a rising profile within the foodservice sector – has now made its way into retail, with world cuisine increasingly reflected in flavour profiles and new and innovative formats.
