Award-winning eco-friendly family brand Kit & Kin has launched on Ocado, the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket. Co-founded by Spice Girl, TV and radio presenter Emma Bunton, Kit & Kin launched online in March 2017 to offer families a range of certified natural skincare products and premium performance biodegradable nappies via a monthly subscription service.

Kit & Kin is a privately owned British brand co-founded by Emma and fellow business partner Christopher Money, who has more than 15 years’ experience developing mother and baby products for some of the world’s leading brands. The company aims to provide parents with a simple, sustainable and cost-effective solution to choosing every day family essentials. As part of its ethos, Kit & Kin proudly supports conservation charity the World Land Trust, and is committed to producing 100% cruelty-free products as a member of PETA.

Available online from Ocado will be the debut range of premium performance biodegradable nappies, which are dermatologically tested and approved. Made using more sustainable materials and containing significantly fewer chemicals than other household brands, each nappy has been developed to break down and biodegrade within 3-6 years. The retailer will also offer parents Kit & Kin’s full range of vegan-friendly (excl. magic salve & breast balm), hypoallergenic and certified natural skincare range for mother and baby.

The launch on Ocado reflects Kit & Kin’s growth in the market since launching its e-commerce store four months ago. Since then, the brand has triumphed in multiple industry awards, winning LovedByParents ‘Best Nappy Design’, Junior Design Award’s ‘Best Toiletries Collection’ and Beauty Shortlist’s ‘Best Eco-Nappy’.

Steph Matthews, Buying Manager – Babycare at Ocado says, “We are really excited to be the first UK grocer to list the range of Kit & Kin nappies and skincare. As soon as I saw the range, I knew it would be a perfect fit for the Ocado customer. There isn’t a huge range of brands available on the market, so it was great to see a new brand of nappies that has launched in the UK, with the added benefit that the nappies are eco-friendly!”

Emma Bunton, Co-founder at Kit & Kin says, “The response to Kit & Kin since we launched in March has been amazing and I love that we have created an offering families really needed. To have a leading retailer like Ocado supporting us is brilliant and we can’t wait to find out what their customers think of our products – we’re sure they will love it as much as we do!”

Christopher Money, Co-founder and Head of Product Development at Kit & Kin adds, We’re delighted that Ocado has recognised the value and need for our products for their customers. This means we’re not only accessible to more families across the UK, but can help them discover the importance of taking a more responsible and eco-friendly approach to shopping.”

About Kit & Kin:

Established in March 2017, Kit & Kin has been created by co-founders Emma Bunton, Spice Girl, TV and radio presenter and UNICEF ambassador, and Christopher Money, Director of Product Development who brings over 15 years’ experience of developing mother and baby products for some of the world’s leading brands.

Our Commitment To You:

Kit & Kin uses natural, nourishing, eco-friendly ingredients and sustainable materials to offer families a range of safe and effective everyday products via convenient and hassle-free monthly bundles delivered to your home. All products in the range are clinically and dermatologically tested to ensure they’re mild and kind to use on your skin.

Our Commitment To The Earth:

For every 10 Kit & Kin nappy subscriptions, they’ll purchase one acre of rainforest through the World Land Trust. These vital ecosystems help provide clean air, lifesaving medicines and provide safe-havens for some of the world’s most vulnerable wildlife.

Did You Know:

Conventional nappies are one of the largest contributors to landfills in the world. In the UK alone we throw away 8 million nappies every day. The majority of the Kit & Kin nappy, including packaging, will biodegrade within 3 to 6 years. Compare this to conventional nappies that can take up to 500 years to biodegrade and the choice is clear.
