Carrs Foods is launching four new products within the Baker Street range this month – Deli Rolls in two variants and Ciabatta Loaf and Rolls.

Tapping into the growing trend for seeded and ‘benefit’ products, the new Baker Street Deli Rolls are available in Multi Seed and Multi Seed with Chia (both have an RSP of £1.69 for a four pack). The rolls contain sunflower seeds, linseed, flaked oats & rye. They are being listed in Nisa, Spar, Dhamecha and Bestway.

Suitable for vegetarians, the rolls are high in fibre, low in saturated fat and provide a source of protein, while the Chia rolls are also high in Omega 3. The versatile, pre-sliced square rolls are cleverly packed to help retain freshness and reduce waste and have a minimum guaranteed shelf life of 35 days.

Specially developed for the convenience market, the part baked Ciabatta Loaf (RSP: £1.39 for 250g loaf) and Rolls (RSP: £1.39 for a four pack) provide a delicious open texture and crispy crust and are ready to serve in just ten minutes. They are also being listed in Nisa Spar, Dhamecha and Bestway.

Jeremy Gilboy, managing director at Carrs Foods comments: “As well as capitalising on the trend for bread with benefits, these new product launches are the final milestone in the £500K makeover of our Baker Street brand. With sales of Baker Street increasing year on year, we believe the fresher for longer positioning is on trend and a key sales driver.

“We have already seen the popularity of other bread with benefits products within the Baker Street range – such as our rye breads – so we are expecting the new Deli Rolls to sell particularly well. The Ciabatta products will appeal to those who love the smell and taste of warm bread and its clever packaging will help to retain freshness.”
