Bar-Be-Quick – the pioneer of the instant barbecue – is celebrating 30 years of making its popular instant barbecue in Britain.

Bar-Be-Quick-Instant-BBQBar-Be-Quick developed, designed, manufactured and marketed the UK’s first instant barbecue back in 1986 and now supplies them throughout the UK, Europe, South America and the Middle East. Bar-Be-Quick was also the first company to successfully produce, market and sell instant lighting charcoal in 1991.

With growing demand for its products, Bar-Be-Quick has expanded its range to include more ‘solutions-focused’ SKUs, such as the party-size instant barbecue (RRP £7), and its dual-use barbecue stand (RRP £19.99). Launched last year, the re-usable stand solves the common issue of scorching or marking surfaces beneath the barbecue. These instant, portable and convenient products mean that people can set up an outdoor grilling station almost anywhere.

Smaller ‘grab and grill’-style packs of its instant lighting charcoal were added to the range in 2015, ideal for consumers looking to light up at the last minute when the sun makes a sudden appearance (RRP £2). Perfect for Bar-Be-Quick’s portable picnic barbecues, the charcoal doesn’t require firelighters and is ready to cook on within 20 minutes.

This year, Bar- Be-Quick is joining forces with popular brands Hellmann’s and Levi Roots to offer consumers convenient instore promotions, perfect for the barbecue season.

Caroline Morris, head of sales at Bar-Be-Quick, said: “Bar-Be-Quick’s instant barbecue ranges have remained a firm best-seller for many years.

“We’ve worked closely with our retail customers for 30 years to ensure we deliver on quality and innovation, as well as ensuring stock arrives on time and in full. On average, we sell four million instant barbecues per year. This is down to our commitment to having an open and honest dialogue with our customers, and understanding their everchanging demands. UK production and warehousing facilities have ensured we are well-equipped to deal with all aspects of the summer season.”

Bar-Be-Quick is bringing its regular and party-sized instant barbecues to market again this year and has listings in Asda, Homebase and Booths, with the products also available online at Argos and Wilkos, as well as at various convenience stores and wholesalers.
