These foodbanks provide a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK. In 2013-14 Trussell Trust foodbanks helped feed more than 913,000 people nationwide including more than 300,000 children.

BiGDUG products that foodbanks have used include heavy duty shelving bays, plastic storage boxes, manoeuvrable trolleys and heavy duty work benches.

“Supporting the community is something very important to us, so to see our products helping the fantastic work that all foodbanks do is great,” comments Doug Nourse, managing director of BiGDUG. “The Trussell Trust is an organisation we support and respect so it’s comforting to know that some of our range of our products being used in foodbanks are going some way towards achieving the results they have experienced.”

The Trussell Trust, founded in 1997, partners with churches and communities to open new foodbanks nationwide. With more than 400 foodbanks currently launched, the organisation’s aim is to open a foodbank in every town across the UK.
