Blakemore Group HR Director Ian Diment will reveal the wholesaler’s new Equality and Diversity strategy at the Women in Wholesale conference on October 19th.

The event has been organised to support the development and progression of women in the sector. Last year, Blakemore launched a ‘Women in Business’ survey to identify the perceptions of females within the business at all levels.

This year the wholesaler is embarking on a new programme to support equality and diversity (E&D), commencing with a leadership workshop for its Board of Directors.

Ian Diment commented, “Equality and Diversity is a subject that we are very passionate about. While we are only at the start of our journey, we’re delighted to be able to share our experience to date and the component parts we have identified in developing a holistic E&D strategy.”

WiW Chairperson Clare Bocking, Director of Immediate Impact added, “We are keen to demonstrate how critical it is that senior men champion and support the need for an inclusive talent culture and the role that they play in making a difference.”

The conference is open to women of all levels working in wholesale and middle to senior level men. Register here: www.newerapr.co.uk/women-in-wholesale/
