Boost celebrates the completion of two months event to visit retailers and customer head offices

Boost Drinks is celebrating completing one of the biggest pieces of activity in its history, spending two months travelling the country to showcase its love for the independent sector.

Throughout September and October members of the Boost team including sales director, Al Gunn, travelled all over the United Kingdom to visit customer head offices and retailers. From Scunthorpe to Glasgow, London and beyond, more than 500 customer head office employees were invited to spin to win to get their hands-on Boost freebies and sample the great range of sports, energy and protein drinks Boost has to offer.  Boost then visited retailers in each location to bring them a quiz, free stock and the chance to win an ultimate prize.

During every visit Boost representatives spent time speaking to customers and retailers to tell them all about Boost drinks.  The team gave advice on maximising sales and talked about plans for 2020 across its energy, sport and protein drinks as well as it’s ‘We Love Local’ proposition.

Simon Gray, Founder and Managing Director of Boost Drinks, said: “We have been absolutely blown away by the success of our trip.  Before we even began, we knew there was an appetite from customers and retailers to enjoy a visit from Boost, but we never expected the levels of participation we’ve seen at every location.  The success of the trip just tells us that customers and retailers really enjoy the chance to meet suppliers face to face and find out who sits behind the brands they’re stocking on their shelves.

“It is hugely important that our customers meet the people behind Boost, so we had great fun meeting with both our customers and retailers face-to-face, learning about how we can support them and giving away prizes to thank them for supporting our brand.”

The two-month long trip culminated in an exclusive one-night event at a pop-up comedy store to celebrate Boost’s love for local retailers. The ‘Sips and Giggles’ event was hosted by big-name comedians Kojo Anim and Vikki Stone and was broadcast live on social media. The event even saw the winner from Boost’s nationwide search for the next big comedian perform to an audience of trade, retailers and the general public.

Simon Gray continued: “Here at Boost, we want to do everything we can to show our commitment to supporting independent retailers and believe our We Love Local road trip was a great way to do just that.  We’ve learnt a lot from the trip that we’ll feed back into our plans for 2020 and will look forward to sharing those exciting plans with customers and retailers soon!”
