This summer, Boost Drinks is helping independent retailers maximise soft drink sales with a new on-pack promotion across its best-selling 250ml Original Energy and Original Sugar-Free PMP variants.
Boost Energy Original 250ml, already the UK’s number two energy drink and the sugar-free variant, which currently holds the number three spot for best-selling soft drink in Northern Ireland1 will be helping to entice even more consumers to make a purchase in their local store. The promotional products will drive sales with an eye-catching, on-pack competition and POS will also be provided to thousands of retailers nationwide to accompany the promotional cans on-shelf.
Running from 10th June to 20th October 2019, the promotion offers consumers the chance to win a trip for two to New York City, along with daily and weekly giveaways including BOSE® Wireless Speakers and shopping vouchers. Simple to enter, purchasers only need to scan the code from their can via Snapchat or online to find out if they’ve won.
Boost will be supporting the summer-long competition with a huge New York-themed marketing campaign, starting in June. This will include sampling for over 380,000 consumers across the UK, and advertising across national TV, digital and outdoor media platforms. Out-of-home billboards will highlight the promotion in Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, while adverts will run across YouTube and air during some of the most popular TV shows such as Love Island, First Dates and Family Guy.
The team at Boost drinks will also be making trips to wholesalers, to create in-depot theatre. They’ll visit dressed as New York City tourists and will be helping customers to stock their cars with product, in order to raise awareness of the new promotion.

Last year, the energy, protein and sports drink producer ran a hugely successful on-pack promotion which saw sales of its Boost Energy 250ml SKU increase by 6%. The promotion appeared in Heat magazine, at MTV’s Ocean City Sounds Festival and on TV, with Boost’s first live advert airing during Love Island. Overall, the campaign was seen by over 30 million consumers.
