Brakes has announced the appointment of Philip Jansen to succeed Frank McKay as Group Chief Executive Officer following his retirement. Mr Jansen will officially join the Brakes Board on 1st February 2010 to ensure a seamless transition before Mr McKay retires from the Group.
Mr Jansen has a wealth of experience that he brings to the role having spent 5 years within the Sodexo Group, including his most recent positions as Group COO and CEO UK and Ireland. Prior to Sodexo, Mr Jansen held several senior roles within various industries including My Travel Group plc, TeleWest communications and Procter and Gamble.
