Great Taste Award winning savoury biscuit maker Buiteman has made RH Amar its sole stockist in the UK of their standard and core ranges following a review.
The celebrated Dutch baker has decided to award its UK marketing and distribution functions to the High Wycombe-based company as it aims to build an even bigger presence in the UK. The deal will include RH Amar taking on responsibility for key contracts with Amazon and leading hamper companies, building on the strong route to market that the distributor has already secured for the brand within the fine food and foodservice channels.
RH Amar has responded by immediately by securing the brand’s first listings with Ocado, with four products set to make their debuts from the end of March including 2018 Great Taste Awards star winners Gouda & Chilli Biscuits and Gouda & Chive Biscuits (both RRP: £1.69, 75g box)[1].
“With several Great Taste Awards now under our belt, and a passion to take our fantastic range to even more UK shoppers, we are delighted to strengthen our relationship with RH Amar as we embark on the latest phase of our UK journey together,” explains Buiteman MD Henriëtte Buiteman.
“We will also be adding some great new products to our line-up in 2019, so this is the perfect time for us to take a considered and ambitious view about how best to strengthen our route to market through a single distributor.”
Using only ingredients of the highest quality, including the finest authentic cheeses from around Europe, Buiteman biscuits are prepared in small batches according to family recipes. Popular products in the brand’s UK range include the brand’s best-selling Gouda Crumbles (RRP: £1.69, 75g), a popular Fine Selection box featuring Cheddar and Sundried Tomato biscuits (RRP: £3.99, 180g box), and Great Taste Award winning Parmagiano Reggiano Crumbles (RRP: £1.69, 75g)[2].
