KNAPP’s tobacco picking solution provides fully automatic order fulfilment for many major names in the tobacco industry.
The tobacco autopickers combine very high picking performance with long replenishment cycles. Automatic flow racks allow storage needs to be met by allocating a product to single or multiple channels and defining the length of each channel. Replenishment is carried out quickly and effectively without the need either for removing goods manually from their original packaging or having to reallocate staff from picking to replenishment tasks.
With products positioned lengthways across the conveyor, throughputs of 7,000 cartons per hour can easily be achieved. Each autopicker line can be connected via a synchronised conveyor to the packing area, where the picked cigarettes are packed into dispatch cartons.
