cul_isigny_v3Isigny Sainte-Mère, a French dairy co-operative, has appointed Culina Logistics, the multi-temperature supply chain specialist, to provide a shared-user storage and distribution service for its chilled product range.

Established in 1932, Isigny, based in Normandy, France, is known throughout the world for its quality cheeses, butter, fromage frais, creams, crème fraîche and milk powders.

Exporting over 40% of its production, Isigny Sainte-Mère cheeses include Camembert, Mimolette and Pont L’Evêque as well as the distinctive AOC butter and crème fraîche.

Operating from its Milton Keynes distribution centre, it is estimated that Culina will deliver around one million cases of product in the first year of the contract to major retailers as well as wholesalers throughout the UK.

With a stock holding covering 15 different SKU’s (stock kept units), the 24-hour service also covers warehousing and sales order processing.

Stéphane Plessis, Europe export manager for Isigny Sainte-Mère, comments: “The Isigny brand has a long history and a reputation for premium quality that we take great care in ensuring is upheld.

“With its proven expertise in food and drink logistics, we appointed Culina to provide a shared-user supply chain solution to ensure our products are delivered accurately and in perfect condition.

“Culina has an established network that will help us develop our distribution channels in the UK market quickly and efficiently.”

Culina also offers Isigny Sainte-Mère a co-packing service that enables it to re-work products for promotional activity or to meet retailer’s requirements.
