The programme started in January 2017 and will run through to December 2017
The Career Ready programme helps students to gain skills through master classes, mentoring, workplace visits and internships to prepare them for the world of work. The programme runs between President Kennedy School and Barrs Hill School in Coventry, under The Future’s Trust.
Kite Packaging was founded in 2001 and has always focused on finding bright, talented individuals. After researching the success rate of The Career Ready Programme and seeing the positive effect this had on young people in the UK it was something Kite Packaging knew they could offer great support in.
The UK wide charity links employers with schools and colleges to open up the world of work to young people, offering students from disadvantaged backgrounds the confidence, skills and networks to achieve their potential.
As a successful and influential business, Kite Packaging believe they have the responsibility to support the development of the next generation of talented employees and by taking part in the programme they can mentor and support the students to prepare them for higher education or employment.
