Caribbean food and drink specialist Enco Products is boosting the hot cereals market with the launch of its first range of instant porridges. The new breakfast line-up consists of three oatmeal-based varieties (homestyle, banana flavoured and cinnamon raisin flavoured), plus some Caribbean favourites – cornmeal homestyle and green banana porridges.
Quick and easy to prepare, each of the five variants can be prepared in its own cup in only 5 minutes by simply adding boiling water.
“Traditional breakfast products such as porridge are back in vogue, with demand fuelled by the combination of health and convenience. Our new range offers consumers hearty Caribbean goodness in a highly convenient cup format. It also enables retailers to add new flavour choices to the hot cereals fixture and to offer consumers a great-tasting product range at an affordable price,” says George Phillips, Enco Products’ Commercial Director.
Each of the five porridge products is packed in outers of 12, with a suggested rrp of 89p and a shelf life of up to 10 months.
