Para Dos, a new Argentinean brand, made its UK debut on the 1st June. The wine is the latest release from specialist wine developers CellarVino. The concept behind the pioneering wine is designed around the Latin ethos to share with friends and lovers, hence the literal translation of Para Dos – ‘For Two’.
Hailing from the Mendoza region in Argentina, the highest wine growing altitudes coupled with a rich fertile soils, have created a Malbec of the highest calibre. The Para Dos winemaker Carlos Rodriguez has taken special care in producing a wine with a complex nose with bouquet of black cherries and blackberries combined with sweet vanilla spice and nutty aromas. The flavour is further enhanced by ripe tannins giving a soft and young character.
After months of sourcing, Marketing Director of CellarVino, Davinder Shergill, identified the perfect wine during a trip to Argentina in 2008.
“We were really excited about the quality of the wine and wanted to create a brand to capture the essence of the wine. Inspiration was abundant in Argentina; the culture really exploded with passion for sharing with friends or lovers. We learnt Malbec is predominantly drunk at family and friend mealtimes in Argentina and the whole idea of sharing a bottle inspired my team to create the Para Dos brand.”
Para Dos initial concepts soon developed into an artistic design in cooperating natural floral patterns in gold foil making a striking impact. To keep in line with CellarVino’s environmentally friendly policies, the use of a new exclusive recycled pulp paper gives the label an earthy feel. The product is available in screw cap format.
