Coca-Cola GB has announced that its GLACÉAU Smartwater bottles will be made from 100% recycled plastic (rPET) by the end of the year and it is on track to double the rPET used in all its other plastic bottles in early 2020. The new packs will make Coca-Cola Britain’s biggest user of recycled PET plastic. In addition, Coca-Cola is replacing the current green Sprite bottle with a clear pack, making it easier to recycle into new drinks bottles. Sprite will also increase its rPET content to 50% next year.
