Hats off to Hancocks for great 2013 performance

Specialist confectionery wholesaler Hancocks has reported yet another year of solid performance, growing by 5% year on year with the festive trading period achieving 16% sales growth on the previous year.


Turnover for the group now stands at £114 million compared to £109 million in 2012. Gross profit has also increased by 7%.

All areas of the business have worked hard to achieve results in 2013. The 20 cash and carries have collectively registered 6,000 brand new customers as more and more independent businesses become more proactive and choose to develop their confectionery range.

The Hancocks ecommerce website has grown tremendously throughout the year and proved to be an excellent and flexible resource for both existing and new customers. The range available online has now increased to more than 1500 branded and own label confectionery products, appealing to all manner of businesses that prefer their supplies to be delivered. Further investment is planned for the website, with a revamped and developed platform launching imminently.
