Radnor Hills attended the Salon International de l’Agroalimentaire (SIAL) tradeshow in Paris in November, to launch its premium Heartsease Farm pressé range and were thrilled to welcome Rebecca Evans, Welsh Assembly Deputy Minister for Farming & Food.

Hedgrow-HarvestThe SIAL is the largest exhibition of food innovation in the world, dedicated to the agri-food industry, food retail and both institutional and commercial catering.

Radnor Hills were delighted with the response to its new range of premium drinks that they received from customers from all over the world; including Europe, China, the Middle East and Russia. Over 1000 trade visitors tasted the Heartsease Farm products and gave very positive comments.

Penny Butler, who is in charge of Export Sales for the company, said “Yet again, we have had a very successful SIAL tradeshow. I am confident that our attendance at this year’s event will lead to long standing and profitable business in the near future.”

Worldwide export sales currently account for approximately 12% of the Company’s annual sales turnover and form a very important part of the Radnor Hills business.

Heartsease Farm is available in a Single Serve 330ml glass bottle as well as a larger 750ml table sized bottle for sharing with friends. There is also, uniquely, a plastic (425ml) Single Serve bottle.

Heartsease Farm Blackcurrant Crush – The Essential New Mixer

Made from all natural ingredients, the Blackcurrant Crush perfects the balance of sweet acidity, giving you a deep rich flavour with a fresh, slightly sharp finish.

Delicious served alone, it can also be used as a ‘mixer’ for cocktails; perhaps a Hedgerow Harvest (see recipe below), the intense fruitiness will transform any cocktail creation.

A taste of the countryside; as you take a sip of this fruity little number, the deep, rich blackcurrant will linger on your tongue, whilst the gin and lime cut through the sweetness leaving you with a fresh fruity taste.

Make the most of the autumn harvest, without even leaving the fire side.

Method

Carefully choose your favourite highball glass, pop it into the freezer to chill. When cold, fill with ice cubes, pour over 50ml of your finest gin, then top up with the Heartsease Farm Blackcurrant Crush straight from the fridge. A quick squeeze of a perfectly cut lime wedge, and you’re done.

Notes

You could add some foraged black fruits you picked earlier for a little extra pizazz.
