Kite Packaging Group, the leading UK supplier of packaging and multi-site distribution services has celebrated two accolades recently. The awards have come as a great triumph for the employee-owned company who are showing rapid growth and innovation in its market sector.
September marked the first win, an Outstanding Company award from financial analytics and reporting giant Plimsoll Publishing LTD. The achievement was based on Kite’s financial health assessment and overall financial performance, which has been steadily growing for Kite Packaging since it was founded in 2001. This also marked the first time Kite had won an award from Plimsoll, and was put down to the consistent sales growth and the solid operating profit the company has generated, particularly from its new ventures such as the ‘Enviro’ product range, Mini Air system and new branch opening in the South West.
It was also announced that Kite has picked up the Eaton Premier Supplier award for the seventh time in its eight years trading with the organisation. Eaton, a global power management business that supplies solutions to the aerospace, automotive and hydraulic industries with a turnover of over $20 billion, chose Kite to be part of its elite group of award winning suppliers that represent just 0.05% of its entire global network. Winners are chosen for their excellent contributions to the businesses cost management, innovation, quality and delivery in the previous year, and recognised as a key driver in Eaton’s overall success. What’s more, Kite Packaging is the only Eaton supplier based in the UK to receive the award and the only Eaton supplier in the world to have ever won it seven times.
The UK packaging leaders put its success down to the business’ on-going dedication to service and operational improvements. A spokesman for Kite said; “We are over the moon to win both of these prestigious awards, and to break records with a seventh award win from Eaton is an amazing achievement for our business.
