Makro, one of the UK’s leading wholesaler for independent businesses, has appointed Tracy Lawson to Target Group Manager – Hotels, in a strategic move to drive forward the company’s recently launched customer focus which targets independent hotels.
Tracy will work as part of the well-established Target Group Management (TGM) team and brings with her valuable experience and expertise, from a background in marketing and brand management for companies including Mitchells & Butlers and Barratt PLC.
Working closely with Makro’s head of TGM, Garry Craft, Tracy will be responsible for further developing the company’s ‘proud to support independent hotels’ strategy, including an in-depth look at range, pricing, value added services, customer acquisition and promotions for this customer group.
Commenting on her new role, Tracy said: “As a company, Makro has so much interesting activity going on, both in store and through other channels, and I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in. Initially, I’ll be meeting with as many independent hotel customers as possible to really get to know their business requirements, and from this, will shape and help deliver the next stage of this focused strategy.”
