Maryland Cookies, the nation’s No.1 cookie brand*1, has recruited Twickenham’s Sacha Patrick (shown below, right) as its first official ‘Cookie Taster’.
The cookie lover was chosen from applicants all over the UK to taste test cookies for a full day at the Maryland Cookies Innovation Centre at Burton’s Edinburgh bakery – and get paid for it!
The dream day involved Sacha and her friend, Ionna Grant, tasting a wide range of cookies and making suggestions for new cookie creations. They also got the chance to create their dream cookies –Rocky Road topped Cookie and a Mermaid Magic Sparkle Cookie.
The nationwide search for a cookie taster invited people to show just how much they loved Maryland Cookies by professing the lengths they would go to for one.
Sacha won her dream day after submitting a poem spelling out her passion for cookies – and Maryland Cookies in particular!
Kate Needham, Burton’s Biscuit Co’s Marketing Director, said Sacha thoroughly deserved her prize, commenting: “It was great to see what people would do for a Maryland Cookie, but Sacha demonstrated that no-one loves Maryland Cookies more than her. She was a very worthy winner!”
