JUUL Labs, the US leader in the vaping category, is continuing its remarkable success in the UK with the announcement that the brand is now stocked in over 7,000 outlets throughout the UK.
The brand, which only entered into retail in November after agreeing a national listing agreement with Sainsbury’s, has signed a deal to supply 1,300 McColl’s convenience stores across the UK, taking its store estate to over 7,000.
“We are delighted to have reached an agreement to list JUUL products within McColl’s Retail Group stores nationally. The McColl’s agreement is yet another example of how convenience retailers are embracing our mission to improve the lives of the UK’s 7.4m smokers” says John Patterson, Sales Director of JUUL Labs UK. “While we consciously made the decision to be selective in our retail partner agreements, our aim is to be available in as many outlets that sell cigarettes as possible – as long as they adhere to our Challenge 25 policy – in order to help adult smokers make the switch to JUUL from cigarettes. McColl’s is a leading neighbourhood retailer, with an estate of over 1,550 convenience stores and newsagents, making it a major national force in the UK convenience channel. The agreement with JUUL Labs will apply to 1,300 McColl’s convenience stores.
The deal will see McColl’s stores stock JUUL on the main vaping fixture next to the tobacco gantry and also in JUUL branded display units from yesterday (3rd June).
