xd3200u_45angleMitsubishi Electric’s Visual Information Systems division, a world leader in the design and manufacture of high quality, high definition presentation and display products, has introduced two new high brightness installation projectors that utilise DLP™ technology. The WD3300U a WXGA widescreen and the XD3200U XGA projectors have been designed for lecture theatres, conference rooms and retail applications that require a fully featured and versatile installation projector.

Continually looking at ways to improve its commitment to the installation market Mitsubishi has introduced a number of design improvements, including a new colour wheel, a new chassis design and a lamp drive system that helps to increase the overall performance, durability and reliability; as well as an enhanced 3 year loan replacement warranty that covers 24/7 usage.

In the past, dust could sometimes get on the colour wheel and interfere with overall colour performance. These new projectors, however, create beautiful coloured images with a virtually sealed colour wheel that helps prevent dust accumulation. This new colour wheel design, along with an improved air-flow cooling duct path, allows both the WD3300U and XD3200U to operate at a very low 26dBA noise level.

The new lamp drive system has been designed to reduce the overall deterioration rate of the lamp. This latest innovation helps the lamp to retain consistent projection brightness over a longer period of time while maintaining an estimated lamp life of up to 4000 hours in low mode, reducing the overall cost of ownership. When a lamp replacement is required, these new models are designed with convenient side-loading lamp access, so the projector can remain installed.

For further installation ease Mitsubishi offers a range of optional lenses that support various throw distances and applications. The WD3300U and the XD3200U come with a centre lens design that allows for quick and simple lens exchanges. They also have motorized vertical and horizontal lens shift, and auto focus and zoom, so set-up can easily be completed in minutes.

The WD3300U features 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness the XD3200U is equipped with 4500 ANSI lumens making both models perfect for displaying bright and vivid images in large rooms or venues with bright ambient lighting. These projectors also boast Texas Instruments’ BrilliantColour™ technology, which uses colour processing algorithms and system-level enhancements for greater brightness and truer, more vibrant colours. They offer an HDMI™ input for native digital signals and RJ45 for remote networking management, and a 10-watt audio speaker and variable audio output so that users have the flexibility to adjust a presenter’s volume.

Fraser McDonald, UK Sales Manager said “Mitsubishi is continually looking at bringing new technology to the market place. With installation applications we know that the ease of install, durability and costs are the important factors to be considered, and the introduction of these new models enables us to provide our customers with the perfect installation solutions.”
