A 6 tonne (6000kg) capacity mobile yard ramp has been added to the extensive range available from loading and unloading equipment specialists, Thorworld Industries Ltd.
Measuring 10.9m long with a usable width of 2240mm, it has been introduced in response to customer requests for a more lightweight yard ramp available at an economy price.
It becomes the smallest model in Thorworld’s Standard Ramp range, which now covers 6, 7 and 10 tonne capacity versions. All three Standard Ramps are intended for light duty applications where they might perhaps only be used for up to 3-4 times a day.
They are ideal for the fast and efficient loading and unloading of vehicle trailers and containers by fork truck, particularly where there is no raised loading dock.
Ruggedly built of solid beam construction, they have a serrated open grid deck for positive traction in all weathers and, if required, they can be quickly and easily moved to a different location.
A hand-operated hydraulic pump quickly raises them to the required height and they are equipped as standard with 1.8m of safety chain on each side for securing to the truck or loading dock.
They are CE marked and conform to all European quality and safety standards and legislation.
The new Standard light duty model now joins others in Thorworld’s market-leading line-up of steel mobile container loading ramps of varying capacities.
The Super Deluxe/Recycling Ramp is available in both 12 and 15 tonne capacities and they are ideal for heavy duty applications, typically on a consistent three-shift operation, in the most rigorous working environments such as the recycling industry.
The Deluxe Ramp is available in a 10 tonne capacity and is ideally suited for medium duty applications, such as continual use on a single shift basis.
Bespoke models can be supplied to meet individual requirements and a comprehensive service and maintenance back-up facility is available to help ensure that the ramps are always kept in top condition.
A ramp rental facility is also provided through the company’s RentARamp operation, with a sale or return option.
