The Yorkshire Crisp Company, which is based in Wales Bar, Sheffield, has an exciting new flavour joining its range of luxury, handcooked crisps.
The new Oyster, Chilli & Lemon flavour crisps will be available in 100g drums and it is the first fish flavour to be included in the range, which will then have eleven delectable choices.
Said Tim Wheatley of Yorkshire Crisps, “We noticed a trend in ‘fish and chip’ flavours becoming popular in snacks and so this is our take on that. We think they’re perfect with a chilled glass of white wine or Prosecco.”
The Yorkshire Crisp Company is very proud of its Yorkshire roots and all its packaging (which is also manufactured in Yorkshire) features a different Yorkshire ‘heritage’ image for each flavour. The 12 foot steel sculpture of a fisherman entitled ‘High Tide in Short Wellies’ by Ray Lonsdale was chosen to take pride of place on the new Oyster, Chilli & Lemon flavour drum.
The sculpture which was purchased for the North Yorkshire seaside town of Filey in 2012 by philanthropist pensioner, Maureen Robinson, stands watch permanently on Filey’s Coble Landing, facing out to sea. The new and deliciously moreish Oyster, Chilli & Lemon Yorkshire Crisps are produced from locally-grown potatoes with totally natural flavourings and are free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives as well as MSG and GM ingredients.
The Yorkshire Crisp Company, which has Safe and Local Supplier Approval (SALSA) accreditation, produces a range of handcooked crisps and gourmet popcorn, including traditional style popcorn in Sweet, Salted or Sweet & Salted varieties as well as three luxury toffeecoated choices. Both crisps and popcorn are available in Yorkshire Crisps’ unique resealable, stay-fresh drums which are perfect for sharing at picnics and parties….as well as for keeping to yourself to enjoy!
