Challs International Ltd, the company behind Buster, has launched an innovative new deodoriser for household dustbins and wheelie bins. The two-in-one problem-solver neutralises odours and kills insects such as flies, wasps, ants, cockroaches and mosquitoes.
Bin Buddy is an industry first, targeting the nation’s 51 million bins, with a predicted 69% penetration of the existing bin liner category worth £157 million.
Sales director, Kieran MacSweeney, says: ‘We started our research and development of Bin Buddy with an extensive consumer study carried out by OnePoll, which highlighted the mass of consumer demand for an innovative product that tackles the key consumer bin problem of bin odours and insects.
‘Bin Buddy is a brand new product in a brand new category that not only smells great but kills flies, wasps, ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes and other insects. Bin Buddy’s colourful packaging not only reflects the different fragrances but also gives the product a fun and cheeky personality, making it stand out when on display.’
Bin Buddy is available in a cute and innovative mini wheelie bin package with a sprinkler function, offering 15 applications per pack. Currently available in two fragrances to provide lasting freshness, Citrus and Berry Blast, Bin Buddy is available from major retailers nationwide at a recommended retail price (RRP) of around £4.99.
The launch of Bin Buddy has been supported by a national TV advertising campaign, airing from Monday 12th July 2010 during GMTV.
