Sato’s latest range of Kendo and Judo hand labellers have been specifically designed to delivery ultimate printing quality whilst being easy to use and maintain.
The Kendo (one line print) and Judo (two line print) label printers are each available in a choice of models and can print up to 10 characters per line in red or black ink. Label sizes are up to 12mmx26mm (Kendo) or 16mmx26mm (Judo). They can be used with all standard label styles – rectangular, wavy edged, punched and perforated.
All machines share a range of improved features. Font sizes are larger (5mm), making the printed labels easier to read. For extra large, bold print, especially useful for sales promotions and product coding, SATO has created a the Judo XL which prints alphanumeric characters in font heights up to 7.6mm.
The characters viewed on the print bands, when selecting the chosen numbers or text, are also larger and more visible than before and new stopper mechanisms ensure the ink doesn’t smudge or obscure them during use.
The no fuss, slide-in, slide–out ink roller makes replacement exceptionally easy. The ink sponge itself, encased in a plastic capsule for clean and easy handling, has been specifically designed to deliver the optimum amount of ink during use.
The new and more efficient feeding mechanism makes it quicker than ever to load and change label reels. Labels are available from SATO in quantities from as little as 30 rolls with up to 4 colour print. General maintenance couldn’t be simpler either – wide opening of platen and label roll cover allows for easy access to all machine parts.
Kendo and Judo can be used by retailers for pricing, mark-down, and adding cost, or date codes. In food preparation and distribution they offer a fast and simple way of adding best before and use by dates.
SATO manufactures labels for the Kendo and Judo labellers in its own purpose built UK production plant in Harwich, Essex. Users can choose from a wide selection of label materials and colours. Adhesives offered include permanent, peelable, wash-off, textile and outdoor. They can be supplied plain from stock or part-printed to order with information such as logos, company or department names, sales messages or similar constant details.
