A fantastic Q4 rounded off a good year in terms of both financial results and industry recognition.
During the last 12 weeks of the financial year, like-for-like sales compared to 2016 reflect a strong financial performance.
This includes trading 10.5 percent up on like-for-like sales and 18 percent up excluding tobacco.
For the whole year, Parfetts have traded 5.5 percent up year-on-year in terms of total business (8.5 percent excluding tobacco and bulk purchases).
At the HIM! Wholesale Awards, held on the 29th of June at the Hilton on Burtonon- Trent, Parfetts was the proud winner of a prestigious award.
The recognition, as ‘The Independent Retailer’s Favourite Cash & Carry Wholesaler’, was the result of extensive market research. HIM! spoke to 4,000 retailers and 3,500 foodservice operators across three routes to market – cash & carry, telephone and online.
In establishing retailer satisfaction with different wholesale operators this way, HIM! was left in no doubt over Parfetts suitability for the title.
For the fifth year running, the respected business relationship monitor document ‘Advantage Report Mirror’ placed Parfetts top in their category.
They were rated highest against other wholesalers and wholesale groups by customers and suppliers independently surveyed.
Over 80 suppliers took part in the annual programmes, rating Parfetts first out of seven participating cash & carry wholesalers.
