UPM Conveyors report a record final quarter following the Total Show which surpassed all expectations in terms of enquiries received for product handling systems and orders taken on the stand.
Their total turn key projects range from handling prawns in Spain to serving 15,000 meals per day at a mine in Jakarta through to fresh vegetables in Kenya for Finlay’s Fresh Produce.
The photograph shows crated belt conveyors being loaded for airfreight to Russia, India and Mexico which have seen UPM exports increase to circa 40 per cent of turn over based on a mix of direct exports and indirect via UK located major multi nationals.
Roy Fowler of UPM explained that the Total Show proved genuine applications exist for automation of product flow with integration to other equipment and one major food processor showed a payback of only six months on an outlay of circa £150000.
The UPM philosophy is simple and based on working in partnership with people, sharing their knowledge and experience gained over 37 years, with UPM accepting total responsibility for turn key projects operating to the agreed specification and to the customers satisfaction which is the result of a Performance Guarantee allowing peace of mind.
