roskillys.jpgRoskilly’s – one of Cornwall’s leading makers of ice cream and fudge – has launched a new flavour for its indulgent, organic fudge range. The company – set on a 40 acre working farm near the Lizard Point – has created a rich, new Coconut and Cherry flavour adding to its popular, organic fudge range which already includes chocolate and praline, chocolate orange, clotted cream and stem ginger.

Roskilly’s says the new flavour has a melt-in-the-mouth taste, perfect for those who don’t like their fudge to be too sweet. The cherry flavour provides a distinctive, rich twist to the delicious, organic creamy fudge with the coconut adding to the flavour and texture.

After taking the farm’s own rich Jersey milk, it is mixed and turned into Clotted Cream before being added to fudge vats with more Jersey milk where it is mixed together and heated to a rich, golden consistency before diced cherries and desiccated coconut are added. The result is a rich, creamy, indulgent and creamy flavour.

The company says the launch of the new Cherry and Coconut fudge is the start of an exciting year for developing new flavours across the whole product range

“We are delighted with the new Cherry and Coconut flavour which will be the first of what we hope will be a number of new products launched in 2008.

“With our herd of 100 Jersey and Guernsey cows grazing on the lush grass around the farm meadows we are able to create the creamiest organic Cornish milk – the key to creating great fudge, and ice cream.”
Adding to its organic credentials, all of Roskilly’s fudge is Soil Association Certified and made using palm oil from sustainable sources.

The new flavour is available in 100gram packs.
