It’s hard to believe that this iconic pepper sauce brand, that has a large following, particularly here in the UK, has never advertised on UK TV before. The campaign, in association with Pizza Hut Delivery, strengthens the link between Tabasco® and pizza and demonstrates it in a humorous way. The Tabasco® advert features a young man shaking Tabasco® generously over his pizza; while he eats the pizza, a mosquito lands and bites him, as the mosquito flies off it explodes from the heat. The advert is being broadcast over an eight week period on both Channel 4 and E4, during programmes such as Hollyoaks.
An on pack promotion features a Pizza Hut Delivery 2-for-1 pizza offer with every bottle of Tabasco® Red Pepper Sauce purchased. And to coincide with the campaign, Tabasco® has now launched the brand new official UK Fan Club website, www.tabascofanclub.co.uk. The site is not only linked to the campaign through the redemption of the on-pack offer, but also provides Tabasco® fans with opportunities to learn more about Tabasco®, download Tabasco® screensavers and access some recipes.
