Verco Limited, the leading supplier of refrigerated cabinets for the UK retail sector, is approaching its fourth year of a supply contract to the Consort Group, which has seen nearly 200 Cambridge cabinets installed as part of a two-fold replacement programme for Esso forecourts. Commenting for the Consort Group, Maintenance and Refurbishment Director Richard Carpenter says: “We have known of and used Verco for some time but our relationship with the company has grown due to our association with Esso, which has been specifying their cabinets for many years. Verco’s Cambridge cabinet suits the replacement and upgrade programmes and their manufacturing and delivery schedules are always well coordinated.”
The first stage of the programme includes the on-going maintenance of refrigeration equipment where existing chiller cabinets are replaced with Verco’s new-generation Cambridge. Depending on the size of the site, up to six cabinets are replaced with like-for-like models in terms of size and colour but, where possible, more integral units are installed to replace existing remote installations.
The second stage involves upgrading or changing the use of existing sites, which are allocated on an individual basis. Again, Verco’s integral Cambridge is used, with up to three cabinets being installed at each site.
Verco’s Sales and Marketing Director Colin Jones says the two-fold programme is the latest in a relationship with Esso that spans over 20 years.
