Sunmagic has experienced a hot summer, kicking off with a 12-week summer campaign, which ended in August. It featured bus stop and billboard outdoor ads, trade and consumer press advertising, PR activity, a new consumer website (with views in excess of 10m expected) and online campaign – with a monthly iPad and iPod giveaway. To top it all off, Sunmagic reported a 24% sales increase in June from the previous record-breaking month in July last year.
Sunmagic brand manager, Razin Ali, commented: “We are proud to say that the success of our brand has been built on four key principles. The first is we only use high-quality concentrate for all our juices, smoothies and juice drinks. This gives it a more premium taste and great quality. Secondly, Sunmagic is more competitively priced than chilled ranges, making it more affordable for both consumers and retailers. Also, because it is an ambient range rather than chilled, it has a longer shelf life. Thirdly, while other brands are cutting back, we are continuing to invest in promotion and marketing support.

This year, Sunmagic is launching a Fairtrade product – ‘Sunmagic 100% Pure Fairtrade Orange Juice.’ The healthy and sustainable product is available in a revolutionary environmentally friendly Aisacan bottle, with a case size of 12 x 330ml and 12 x 1 litre. Ali continued: “Taking an ethical standpoint is important to us and our customers so going Fairtrade was the next logical step.”
