On shelf from 10 March, the new Weight Watchers Mousse, which is manufactured under license by Yoplait, combines the fresh taste of raspberries with the rich taste of cranberries. It is a unique flavour in the category which keeps the Weight Watchers Mousse range new and exciting.

Carolyn Shephard, Weight Watchers senior brand manager at Yoplait, said: “The limited-edition strategy, launched in January 2007, has delivered a consistently strong rate of sale. The previous limited edition flavour, Mango & Passion Fruit, has been the most successful to date delivering sales of £4m.Raspberry & Cranberry is a popular flavour in other grocery categories, such as drinks and cereal bars, and it will be a unique flavour in the mousse sector, which we believe will help build on the success of previous limited editions. The limited edition flavoured mousses are also a great way to rejuvenate interest in the range as consumers are always looking for new products and flavours.

We are confident that we can satisfy all their requirements for lower fat, yet indulgent desserts.”The Weight Watchers limited edition Cranberry & Raspberry Mousse is available in 2 x 80g pots, has a MRRP of £1.15 and a Weight Watchers POINTS® value of just 1 per pot. It will sit alongside the current Weight Watchers Mousse range, which includes Strawberry & Vanilla and Belgian Chocolate & Vanilla. The Light Chilled Yogurts and Desserts (CYD) sector is currently worth £235.8m. Weight Watchers chilled desserts continue to perform very strongly, growing by 27.6% year-on-year.
