Nisa is gearing up for Independents’ Day UK on Thursday 4th July by offering retailers a great deal to encourage them to join the group. In support of the national campaign on Thursday 4th July, independent retailers who sign up to Nisa will have their joining fee waivered and they will be offered the added incentive of £2,000. Independents’ Day UK is a not-for-profit campaign that exists to support and promote independent retail businesses across the UK all year round, but with an annual focus on July 4th, ‘Independents’ Day’ itself.

Steve Leach, Sales Director at Nisa, said: “Nisa’s retail strategy is to deliver benefits for independent retailers and help them grow their businesses in what is an increasingly competitive marketplace and so we are keen to be proactive in our support of Independents’ Day UK.

“We are committed to our retailers and have new partners signing up every day. We hope to convince even more independent retailers to join us as a result of our activity around Independents’ Day and benefit from the broad range of services we provide.”

With impressive growth figures for Nisa partners over the past 12 months including average sales uplifts of 12 per cent for stores that convert to Nisa’s new Evolution format stores and around seven per cent uplift following stocking of Co-op own label products, it is hoped the recruitment initiative for Independents’ Day activity will seal the deal for many independent retailers looking for a group to support them.

“Nisa is the natural home for independent retailers and we have ramped up our operational capacity to ensure new stores have the support they need to join Nisa as quickly and smoothly as possible,” added Steve.

The Independents’ Day UK deal for new partners is subject to terms and conditions. Stores must sign up within 14 days and trade within 28 days to receive £2,000. They will not be charged a membership fee to join. Current Nisa partners who have additional stores with other groups will also be offered the £2,000 incentive to move those stores across to Nisa.”
