Low calorie, lower sugar, fruity energy drink brand Carabao has announced a Mixed Berry 69p price-marked can will launch in end-November/December 2020 to sit alongside the existing PMP range.

Earlier this year, Carabao launched existing flavours Green Apple, Original and Mandarin Orange in the ‘only 69p’ PMP range and this has already proved successful, driving strong sales growth for the brand in the impulse channel, with +46% growth achieved in the last 12 weeks[1].

Carabao Mixed Berry tastes fantastic, and at only 63 calories per can, is the perfect addition to the already thriving PMP range. Mixed Berry is the #2 energy launch in the total market for 2020 and also the number one ranked in Retail Sales Value (RSV) per store in total market for the year[2].

After the Mixed Berry launch in March 2020, the latest addition to the Carabao range quickly became the fastest selling flavour, and retailers who have listed the product have seen its rate of sale surpass many of its competitors.’

Speaking on the launch Mark Tanner, Head of Independents and Wholesale at Carabao UK&I, said: “We’re delighted to add our new Mixed Berry product to our price-marked pack range. As we battle the effects of economic recession, we would expect the shopper demand for price marked packs to grow.”

“The launch of our new PMP variant will provide fantastic value for our customers and continue to provide excellent profit margins for convenience retailers and wholesalers alike.”

Carabao has continued its commitment to football sponsorship with its fourth year as title sponsor of the Carabao Cup, as well as being an official Global Partner of Chelsea FC. Carabao’s brightly coloured cans are broadcasted to millions around the world via the use of the LED screens and LED perimeter boards.
