Fruity, low calorie energy drink brand Carabao has announced the winner of their retailer cash promotion, which was launched during the summer.

Gary Morton, owner of a Costcutter in Bromsgrove, was lucky enough to scoop the top prize of £5,000. Gary has stocked Carabao’s range for approximately three years and has noticed an uplift in sales throughout 2020 mainly due to the introduction of the ‘only 69p’ price-marked cans. Gary now sells 3 cases a week, a significant increase since price-marked cans made their debut in his store.

Carabao is looking to continue its success with the addition of a Mixed Berry ‘only 69p’ price marked can to the already thriving Carabao PMP range. The new flavour has already become the fastest selling flavour in the Carabao range and is the #1 ranked ambient RSV per store and #2 energy launch in the total market for 2020[1].

Exciting cash promotions like this are a great reason to stock Carabao Energy Drink, as sales of the price marked pack range continue to increase. An excellent POR (profit on return) percentage on all Carabao products gives retailers a great opportunity to make a sizeable profit on Carabao Energy Drinks throughout the winter months.

Speaking of the competition, Mark Tanner, Head of Wholesale and Independent at Carabao Energy Drink UK&I said: “It’s a great feeling to be able to reward our customers at a time when financial situations may be understandably difficult. We obviously appreciate the ongoing support of our customers like Gary, and are thrilled to be able to reward them for their loyalty.”

Speaking on his win Gary Morton said: “I was very shocked when it was revealed that we’d won the top prize, in fact, I wasn’t aware of the promotion at all when I bought four cases within the promotional period! Carabao is a great and a more affordable alternative to Red Bull and Monster, which is why we stock it.

“It really is a tough time for everybody financially at the moment so thank you very much to Carabao for giving us a financial boost which will help the business massively.”
