Bebeto, a family founded business based in Chichester, has donated a range of lunch box friendly fruit snacks amongst other confectionery treats to its local food bank.

Hearing about Chichester Food Bank’s campaign ‘Holiday lunch packs for kids’, Bebeto decided to help.   The project is designed to feed children from families that are on a low income during the long summer break.  These young people would normally receive free school meals during term time.

The initiative comes after the local MP, Gillian Keegan and the government voted against free school meals throughout the holidays.

Enes Basar, UK Business Development Manager for Bebeto, said: “We are a family centric company so when we heard about Chichester Food Bank’s plan, we knew we needed to help.  No one likes the thought of any child being hungry so knowing that we will be helping to feed around 2,000 local, disadvantaged children means a lot to us.  We would encourage other businesses to help too if they can.”

Bebeto is available at all good convenience stores nationwide. For further information please visit www.bebeto.co.uk or find them at Bebetouk on Facebook.
