Sugro UK – the member-owned buying and marketing group has successfully hosted their 2022 Convention overseas.

In partnership with PG Events, Sugro UK were delighted to host their first 2022 convention in incredible settings of Argentina. With the fantastic attendance of over 60 delegates, Sugro UK held their Conference and facilitated a successful Networking Event with the industry leading Suppliers and Members delivering presentations on key industry subjects as well as spending quality time on networking and, once again, creating a thriving marketplace.

Head of Trading and Marketing, Yulia Petitt commented: “Sugro has had 16 consecutive years of growth and continue with its strong performance in 2022 with the year-to-date growth of +32% on the same period in 2021. With some excellent business opportunities being discussed between Members and Suppliers during the convention trip, there is no doubt that the Group will continue with its remarkable performance this year. As always, the convention trip was delivered with very high standards and some fantastic feedback from our Members and Suppliers. It was great to see how the event once again brought the Sugro ‘Family’ together, this time in the incredible setting of Argentina”.

The feedback from Members and Suppliers was excellent and once again highlighted the importance of the face-to-face networking opportunities with Neil Heseltine from Forrest Fresh Foods stating “A massive thank you to Sugro and the Board for another amazing never to be forgotten convention. It’s a great pleasure to be part of the Sugro Family”.

Alex McMillan from Suntory Beverages & Food GB & I stated: “A truly unique experience shared with Sugro’s incredible Members, and Suppliers. The nicely balanced mix of business and pleasure gave us a fantastic opportunity to present, engage and network with everyone on both a personal and business level in the most incredible settings. There is a lot of time and effort taken by Sugro and PG Events to make these conventions successful, and the phrase ‘family feel’ is often used by Sugro to describe the Group, which resonates even more once you experience a Sugro convention – absolutely spectacular!”.

In partnership with Tomorrow’s Forests, Sugro UK continue playing an active role in preserving biodiversity within the UK by planting the native tree species within rural Somerset. Sugro continuous focus on sustainability once again resulted in 400 trees being planted to offset the carbon emissions for the successful convention trip to Argentina and to contribute towards the fight against climate change. Sugro UK are committed to continue with the project for all future events outside the UK.

The Group looks forward to many more successful events, both at home and abroad over the coming years.
