Booker’s rapid grocery platform Scoot now live in 100 convenience stores across the UK, with more joining each week
Scoot – Booker’s fast – growing rapid grocery ordering platform – recently reached a major milestone, with the 100th store going live on the service.
Since launching earlier this year, Scoot has expanded at pace, bringing fast, convenient delivery to communities across the UK through Booker’s leading symbol groups: Premier, Londis, Budgens and Family Shopper. The 100 -store milestone marks a significant step in supporting independent retailers to offer same – day and on – demand delivery, helping them grow their customer base and compete in the fast – moving convenience market.
With more shoppers than ever expecting local delivery, Scoot enables stores to meet that demand through a simple, cost – effective solution. Customers can place orders via the Scoot app, with delivery handled either by the retailer or through trusted third – party courier partners, including a recent partnership with Just Eat.
The service has been embraced by retailers looking to grow their businesses with minimal operational disruption. The Scoot platform handles ordering, payment and picking, while retailers remain in full control of their range and pricing.
Damian Sanderson, Head of Home Delivery at Booker, said :
“Reaching 100 stores on the Scoot platform is a fantastic achievement, and a real testament to the appetite from our retailers and their communities. We’re proud to offer a solution that helps independent stores thrive in the delivery space.
