The Scottish Wholesale Association, following the introduction of a refreshed brand identity last year, has now launched a new website to empower the industry and enhance member experience.

The new website marks the final step of the SWA’s rebranding journey, which aims to better reflect the unique nature of wholesale within the Scottish food and drink supply chain, and the collaborative and inclusive values of the association.

Colin Smith, SWA chief executive, said: “This new hub for members, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders is a dynamic platform to share ideas and best practice, showcase the best of the industry, and signpost support.

“It follows the launch last year of our new logo along with our refreshed purpose, mission and vision as we reaffirm our position as the driving force behind a well-connected, skilled and sustainable wholesale sector.

“The new website also reflects SWA’s commitment to accessibility and delivering value to the wholesale community as well as offering a streamlined, user-friendly design with improved navigation and mobile responsiveness, ensuring visitors can easily access information and resources any time, anywhere.”

The easy-to-navigate website is designed to better reflect the wide range of work carried out by the association. With content based on feedback from members, it meets industry needs and empowers members and users who can access key resources on topics including public affairs and sustainability. This includes new resources such as the case study showcasing the progress towards net-zero goals by Orkney wholesaler James Wilson (James Wilson (Orkney) case study).

Members can also easily access reports, best practice guides, and information relating to SWA’s key work areas – advocacy and engagement, sustainability, training and development, and category insight – in a new exclusive members’ area.

In addition, the website’s clean design means clearer signposting to events, webinars, and networking opportunities.

Colin added: “Our new website is more than a digital upgrade – it’s a reflection of our commitment to serving our members and driving progress in the industry.

“With updated information, refreshed content on all our work areas and key industry topics, it provides a library of resources that can be quickly and easily accessed in a way that empowers users and enhances member engagement through exclusive content via our new member pages – adding tangible benefit to SWA membership.

“We will introduce additional features in the coming months, so look out for more case studies centred around our core work, training opportunities and events – and, of course, we invite everyone to explore the site and share feedback as the website evolves.”
