Grenade, the UK’s number one protein bar brand[3], is launching its first nationwide consumer competition for its range of best-selling protein shakes[4] giving shoppers the chance to win hundreds of prizes including a holiday worth £5,000*. The competition is set to drive impulse and repeat sales for retailers in the months leading up summer.

Protein shakes are performing strongly showing double-digit category growth of +52% and Grenade’s protein shakes contribute to 62% of that growth in forecourts, symbols and independents.[5]  As more consumers continue to seek convenient, high-protein options that fit into their busy lifestyles, retailers should look to increase their protein shake offering, allocating it similar shelf space as protein bars.

To enter, shoppers simply must purchase a Grenade Protein Shake, scan the QR code found on the point of sale in store and complete the online entry form on the microsite including the batch and barcode. Shoppers will have the chance to win an instant prize* and get entered into a prize draw for the holiday*. Instant prizes include Hyperice equipment, Grenade products and merchandise and other items designed to fuel shoppers’ summers like water bottles, cooler boxes and backpacks. The competition will run from 30th April to 30th June 2026*.

Convenience retailers can also get involved with this competition and have the opportunity to win a share of £5,000 cash (5 X £1,000)**. To enter, retailers simply need to purchase a 8 x 330ml case of Grenade protein shakes, scan QR code on the POS in wholesale and complete the online entry form**.

The range of Grenade Protein shakes is comprised of flavours including Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Chocolate Salted Caramel, Cookies & Cream, Strawberries & Cream, and White Chocolate. The range offers UK consumers the very best in high protein, low sugar liquid that delivers functionality and flavour. Each 330ml bottle has over 25g of protein, is low in fat and sugar and is made from natural flavours and colours. The range is also suitable for vegetarians and is non-HFSS.

The competition is being supported with OOH digital amplification as well as instore displays including a suite of point-of-sale material for retailers like fridge and floor stickers, branded chiller trays, shelf talkers and wobblers, driving customers’ eyes to the fridges, as these drinks, while ambient -which is great for retailers’ storage needs- are best served chilled.
