The Wholesale Group has raised £15,000 for Mines Advisory Group (MAG) following its charity golf day and dinner, held at The Welcombe Golf & Spa Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon, on Wednesday 10 June.

The event brought together 80 members and suppliers for a day of golf in scrambles format, followed by a gala dinner. Funds were raised through sponsorship packages, hole sponsorships, on-course competitions and a raffle, with prizes including an Apple iPad, a PlayStation 5, a cooked meats hamper, O2 event tickets and a share in racehorse Jungle Wood.

MAG is a global humanitarian organisation that has spent more than 35 years helping to make some of the world’s most dangerous places safer by removing landmines and unexploded ordnance and delivering education programmes that protect lives. Since 1989, MAG has helped more than 20 million people across 70 countries rebuild their futures.

Tom Gittins, Managing Director – Retail at The Wholesale Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the response from our members and suppliers. Every pound raised goes directly towards MAG’s mission, and we couldn’t be prouder to support an organisation doing such vital work.

“A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part, donated prizes, sponsored a hole or purchased raffle tickets. Your support has made a real difference.”
