Cheez-It – the biggest ‘Large Sharing’ NPD of the past four years[3], and on track to become a £20million brand in the UK[4], is rolling out its 120g PMP sharing format into symbol and independents, designed to meet growing demand for social and at-home snacking occasions.
Available in two popular flavours: Double Cheese, which has delivered nearly £10million in sales to date[5], and Cheese and Chilli – a hot variant that caters to the nation’s growing appetite for spicy snacks, the launch offers retailers the opportunity to bolster their snack offering with a proven hit. The duo is also set to recruit incremental shoppers to the category, building on the existing 2.5million shoppers[6].
Hitting shelves from 21st July and backed by a £200k investment, the launch lands just in time for the peak summer snacking occasion; a golden window for retailers to tap into increased demand. Paired with the growing recognition of the Cheez-It brand and clear value offering, the 120g PMP format delivers the crunch consumers are craving (and sharing!) – whether that’s for a Big Night In occasion or simply upgrading their usual snack routine.
