KP Snacks today announces an exciting entry into the Tasty Nuts category with the launch of brand-new McCoy’s Coated Peanuts. Available in McCoy’s two most popular and iconic flavours, Flame Grilled Steak and Salt & Malt Vinegar, the new range is rolling into stores from mid-March, available in a £1.35 PMP.
Marking McCoy’s, the UK’s number one ridged crisp brand, first venture beyond crisps, the new product range delivers the big flavour, big texture and big crunch that the brand is famous for. Golden peanuts are coated in a crunchy outer shell and then infused with iconic McCoy’s flavours that consumers know and love.
McCoy’s Coated Peanuts use KP Nuts, combining the quality of the UK’s number one Nut brand with McCoy’s signature punchy flavour. Each pack features a “KP” stamp, offering a guarantee to consumers of the great taste and quality of the peanuts inside.
By making its debut in the Tasty Nuts category, McCoy’s will attract new customers to Coated Nuts while capitalising on a key growth opportunity, with the segment growing in both value and volume, currently worth £41m[1].
The new product range taps into the strength of the PMP segment in the Convenience and Impulse channel, worth £343.1m and growing +5.4% ahead of the overall category. With PMPs driving 71% of Bagged Snacks sales in Independent Stores, the launch of McCoy’s Coated Peanuts in a £1.35 PMP is set to boost sales for retailers, driving category growth.
