Thatchers Cider is bringing a fresh twist to a classic favourite with the launch of their award-winning Thatchers Vintage in a convenient can format.
Thatchers Vintage is the fastest-growing established premium cider, up 104.4% in the last two years (NIQ, Value, 09/08/25), and now consumers can enjoy the same beautifully crafted, full-flavoured cider in a can. The move reflects growing consumer demand for premium cider in a more versatile, portable and sustainable format.
The 440ml can retains all the elegance of Thatchers Vintage in a modern design — ideal for premium drinking occasions, without compromising on the craftsmanship or heritage at the heart of the brand.
The can format also offers consumers a more sustainable option, being easier to recycle, lighter to transport – reducing carbon emissions across the supply chain, and more efficient to chill, cutting energy use.
Thatchers Vintage is a rich, medium dry 8.3% cider with all the craftsmanship of four generations poured into it. Pressed, blended, matured and canned at Myrtle Farm in Somerset, Thatchers uses the finest bittersweet apples from the years’ harvest, as well as lighter more modern varieties to create the perfect blend. The family-owned cidermaker then use their 121 years of expertise to carefully craft the premium cider that’s deep in flavour, yet light in colour, and with a richness that’s rounded off with a satisfyingly crisp sparkle.

The Premium cider category has a loyal and strong consumer base and is showing strong growth, up 23.7% vs last year (NIQ, Premium Cider, Value, 09/08/25).
