Proper Cornish, the award-winning Cornish pasty and savoury pastry maker, is delighted to announce the launch of two delicious new flavours in January 2026.

  • Extending its popular Proper Chunky Roll range, the company introduces a brand-new vegetarian flavour: the Proper Chunky Cheese & Pickle Roll.
  • And is adding a sweet option to its handmade pasty range: the Sweet Apple & Cinnamon Pasty, which is also suitable for vegans.

A Twist on Tradition

The Proper Chunky Cheese & Pickle Roll brings together the classic pairing of rich, savoury cheese and tangy sweet pickle. Bursting with Cheddar, Red Leicester, and full-fat soft cheese, layered with generous pickle, and finished with an Italian-style hard cheese topping, this roll delivers a bold taste experience. Perfect for consumers who love the trending mix of sweet and savoury flavours.

Meanwhile, the Sweet Apple & Cinnamon Pasty is an exciting new addition to Proper Cornish’s handmade pasty range. With apple being one of the UK’s most popular fruits and a familiar pastry filling, this delicious new pasty in the smaller weight of 142g, is expected to delight consumers looking for a comforting, dessert-inspired twist.  What’s more, this new addition is also suitable for vegans.

Looking Ahead to Christmas 2026

Proper Cornish is preparing festive treats for Christmas 2026. The 2026 seasonal line-up will feature three indulgent new products inspired by favourite festive flavours:

  • Proper Chunky Pigs in Blanket Roll (made using Red Tractor Assured British Pork)
  • Festive Slice
  • Turkey Dinner Pasty

“Innovation is at the heart of everything we do here at Proper Cornish,” said Paul Saunders, Managing Director at Proper Cornish. “We’re thrilled to be extending our Proper Chunky Roll range which has already proved to be very popular and we’re looking forward to introducing a vegetarian variety to this range as well as introducing a sweet pasty to our handmade pasty range. These launches reflect our commitment to delighting consumers with exciting flavours while staying true to our Cornish heritage.”
